Requirements
Active participants are requested to prepare ten pieces. At least half of these pieces should be
chosen from the Lied compositions of G. Mahler and H. Wolf, preferably pieces with
different character. The other pieces can be selected freely.
All pieces relating to the specific topic of the Summer Academy should be prepared for a
memorised recital at the closing concert.
For the participation of one half of the Summer Academy six pieces should be prepared,
of which four should be composed by G. Mahler and H. Wolf.
The application of well-rehearsed duos is appreciated.
After the application deadline has passed, the applicants without a duo partner will be sent a
repertoire list and will be assigned to a partner.
On the first day a preselection will take place, where two pieces with different character out of
the Lied compositions of the composers will be performed.
On the basis of this preselection the decision on active participation and the assignment to the
teachers will be made.
Applicants whose achievements do not fulfil the requirements of the Summer Academy will
be admitted as passive participants. The remaining amount will be refunded.
